Daydreaming Lullabies

Majid used to study philosophy when he lived in the Turkmen-speaking part of Afghanistan. Now he works on a construction site in northeastern Iran, bedding down in the unfinished building when his shift is done. Since the Taliban took over in Afghanistan, he’s become increasingly obsessed with convincing his younger sister to leave their home country and come to Iran.
