Germany, 1834: In order to distract the disgruntled masses, a major offers a reward to whoever kills the last bear in Germany. The idea goes over well — too well, in fact. People will stop at nothing to take down the animal, whatever the cost to them. As mass hysteria spreads, the hunt turns into a disaster — just not for the bear, whom no one can locate.
